Vision
We envision a movement of fresh, authentic healthy churches led by healthy leaders, who depend on God and team together with a passion to reach their friends, neighbours and world for Him. - We see every person in the Province of BC having a relationship with a growing follower of Jesus, who loves them and demonstrates this love like Jesus did.
- We see thousands of growing followers of Jesus and spiritual seekers being gathered into hundreds of ACTS 2 churches that are teaching the Bible and praying, cultivating community, serving each other and their communities and so bringing many to a life-changing relationship with God.
- We see leaders, teams and individuals being equipped, mentored and empowered to live out God’s calling on their lives here and around the world.
- We see partnering with others in order to reach the people we can’t.
We will work on realizing this vision by focusing on 3 areas of ministry:
1. HEALTHLY LEADERS
Healthy Leaders have Spiritual Vitality!
- Leaders are demonstrating regular personal study and reflection on the scriptures.
- Leaders are demonstrating the ability to hear the voice of God.
- Leaders are demonstrating the fruit of the Spirit.
- Leaders are demonstrating emotional health in their personal, marital, and professional life.
- Leaders are demonstrating moral integrity in personal and professional lives.
Healthy Leaders are focused on their Vision!
- Leaders have a clear vision of their purpose
- Church planting pastors are discerned with the necessary gifts and experience to succeed
Healthy Leaders are in Relationship with a Coach!
- Every leader is a coach and is being coached
Healthy Leaders are developing new leaders!
- Leaders personally reproduce disciples and leaders
Healthy Leaders will have tools that strengthen the Vision!
- Leaders have access to ministry tools that increase their competency
Healthy Leaders Continue to Learn!
- Leaders are studying, reading and attending workshop to increase leadership effectiveness
2. HEALTHY CHURCHES
Healthy Churches are committed to growth!
- Churches will measure and report annual conversion and baptism growth
- Churches will demonstrate health in the NCD eight quality characteristics of growing churches
- Churches are committed to planting churches.
- New church plants have a partnership with an established healthy church.
Healthy Churches are Intentional in Vision!
- Churches have intentionally discerned and articulated their mission, vision and values.
- Churches will develop an annual strategic plan.
- Churches will function in a way that every member is a missionary.
Healthy Churches are Praying Churches!
- Churches will be characterized by praying for our communities, the poor, the sick, and for each other.
Healthy Churches are Loving Churches!
- Pastors and church leaders demonstrate that churches can work through conflict.
- We provide training and consultation in conflict resolution.
3. HEALTHY MINISTRY COLLABORATION
Healthy Ministry Collaboration will be defined by a missional focus
- Churches will have a clear vision and strategy for the missionary work of their people in the world
Healthy Ministry Collaboration commits us to missional partnerships
- Unified with the BC Camps, CBC, MBBS, MBMSI, and CCMBC by collaborating in local and global evangelism, church planting, peacemaking, and community transformation.
- Unified with other missional Christian churches and agencies by collaborating in local and global evangelism, church planting, peacemaking, and community transformation.
Healthy Ministry Collaboration has a foundation of healthy structures
- The BCMB Board structure will support the accomplishment of the BCMB mission
Healthy Ministry Collaboration will fund our ministry goals
- The 2008 budget will be aligned with the BCMB Vision
Healthy Ministry Collaboration will be modeled by the BCMC Staff
- The BCMB Staff Committees will function as an effective team in accomplishing our mission
