Core Values
Foundational Values (describe who we are)
Biblical Authority: We value God’s truth as the foundation for our behaviour and life direction, because without His direction and grace we are truly lost.
Christ our Centre: We value Christ as our Saviour, Lord and Model because without surrender and obedience to Him we cannot have true fellowship with God or each other.
Relationship: We value relationship because God does. Life transformation takes place through respectful, accepting, grace-filled relationships, not just the imparting of information; therefore, everything we do in ministry must be done from a relational centre, not just as a task.
Dependence on God: We value God as our Creator and Sustainer. We wholeheartedly depend on Him for all that we are and do. Our dependency affirms that Jesus is at work through the Holy Spirit in our world and we are committed to living out His purposes.
Peacemaking and reconciliation: We value working toward reconciled relationships, demonstrating compassionate care for the poor and broken, and acting to restore justice to the oppressed.
Ministry Values (describe how we operate)
Seeking and Saving: We value missional ministry based on a vision to reach lost people and bringing wholeness to their lives because lost people matter to God and therefore matter to us.
Spirit Empowerment: We value the encouraging and equipping of believers to experience of full potential of God’s calling and the work of His Spirit in their lives. We recognize that God calls us to be passionately devoted followers. This means that we recognize spiritual gifts and leadership styles that facilitate and empower.
Teamwork: We value interdependence because we fulfill God’s call more effectively through working together rather than alone.
Fruitfulness: We value Spirit-empowered teamwork that leads to Kingdom results.
Excellence: We honour God by giving Him our best. Anything that is important has greater impact if we do it well.
