Reporting to the Director of Enrolment Services, the Assistant Director of Enrolment Services determines and communicates student admittance and provides financial services to students.Admitting Responsibilities:· Administers admission policies as established by the university. Evaluates applicant credentials, renders and communicates decisions for regular students, assesses academic entrance scholarship eligibility and performs follow-up activities to complete applicant files. · Prepares documentation for study-permit applications for international students. · Completes RESP, Bank forms and other financial forms· Hires, supervises and evaluates the work of student ambassadors· Team leader when Director of Enrolment is not present· Organizes campus visit days, open houses, registration evenings· Coordinates office functions such as mailings, recruiting materials Student Financial Services Responsibilities: (works closely with financial services administrator) · Assists Canadian and US students with securing student loans, takes the lead in this matter for the admissions and student life departments· Maintains financial files and spreadsheets (student loans, payment agreements, bursaries, scholarships)· Serves as a member of the Awards committee· Updates financial information on the website· Manages scholarship, MA and merit award applications· Financial counselling/workshopsQualifications:· A commitment to the church and the mission of CMU· An undergraduate degree · Excellent written and verbal communications skills· Experience in recruiting, event planning and supervision· Strong organizational skills · Proficient in the use of computer software programs.Processing of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
