- The capacity to work in the Mennonite Brethren denomination and to be credentialed by the B.C. MB Conference.

Job Description:
- Worship:
- Oversee the Sunday worship ministry.
- Sunday pulpit preaching (average twice a month).

The Indigenous Communities/SCC Liaison is a part-time staff position for someone who loves Jesus and has demonstrated a desire for reconciliation with Indigenous Communities. A local Indigenous Community and Sardis Community Church are on a reconciliation pathway that has become a significant part of each community. This journey began several years ago and activities have included sharing common meals, operating a children’s camp, gardening projects, joint participation on ceremonial occasions, emergency shelter assistance, prison ministry, and the forming of many friendships between individuals of the two communities.
The time commitment would be approximately 8 hours per week to start.
Responsibilities would include:
- Reporting to the Lead Pastor for accountability and direction.
- Being a contact person for both SCC and the local Indigenous Community.
- Planning joint activities with Indigenous leaders and encouraging SCC participation in those activities as appropriate
- Provide appropriate resources and education for SCC to motivate and inspire more people to walk a reconciliation journey.
- Evaluate and monitor SCC participation in ongoing activities.
- Officially represent Sardis Community Church to Chief and Council and staff as needed

Job Description:
- Plan and execute the Meadows Kids Programming on Sunday Nights

- Recruit and train of Meadows Kids volunteers
- Alongside the campus pastor, plan and execute three to four events per year for our Meadows families and the surrounding community.

The Administrative Coordinator (AC) reports to the Co-Lead Pastors. Duties & Expectations:

- Oversee & coordinate other administrative staff in the areas of specific ministry support, database management, event planning, and communications.
- Act as a central hub for other administrative personal, office volunteers and ministry support roles to help them maximize their roles.
- Prepare relevant documents for Church Council and Congregational meetings. Includes taking minutes related to these meetings.
- Support Human Resource documentation and administrative needs.
- Communicate clearly and regularly with staff to help build a strong team culture at the Church. This includes the use of church planning tools such as ‘Planning Center’ and ‘Google’ platforms.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent time management skills
- A self starter with an innovative approach to administration
- Comfortable working with technology
- Can prioritize concerns and request without much guidance
- Good track record of communication skills both written and verbal.
- Committed to Jesus, the Church’s mission and message. Affirms the BCMB Confession of Faith.
